  6. PURPOSE
  7.         To reduce the size of indices generated by INDEX.
  8.  
  9. COMMENTS
  10.         There is no point in indexing files for which no
  11.         useful retrieval exists.  Such files may include
  12.         code files, dictionaries, indices, etc...  To
  13.         exclude such files, their extension may be added
  14.         to the file "EXTENSIO.INX" with a text editor
  15.         or word processor.
  16.  
  17.         Extensions should be entered one per line.
  18.         Characters in excess of three are ignored.  The
  19.         list is searched linearly so there is no need to
  20.         sort it, but that may help visually searching for
  21.         existing extensions.
